In Other News, Duck Vows to Quack
Yes, the Leader of the Opposition has vowed to oppose. Some more tea leaves with regard to policy to read from Ignatieff's remarks. I love buzz words like "knowledge society," don't you? In all seriousness, expanded trade and relations with China and India get a thumbs up from me.

I like the part on the knowledge society, although I need to see more details. More trade with China and India is good, although I would also trade more with Latin America and Europe as well. The more diversified we are, the better it is. That being said, the devil is in the details. Also, with the large deficit, I hope the short-term focus is like the mid 90s on eliminating the deficit first and then focusing on the other issues once we have surpluses again.
