Obama Nails It

Anyone who hasn't seen the Obama speech this morning needs to. I have never seen a politician be so honest about racism. This kind of honesty is usually limited to quiet private conversations and comedians. This is an unbelievably bold speech. He may have either won or lost the presidency today depending on the reaction.

Amen to that.

Thanks so much for posting this.

If this man isn't elected president in the next election, the USA should just flush itself down the toilet of history.

I'm sure he just won the candidacy with that speech. My main hope is that Hillary decides to run a civil losing campaign and doesn't try to tear the party apart while she goes down. If Obama doesn't win the nomination, I think a ton of white liberals and African-Americans will sit on their hands in November rather than vote for Hillary.

Doesn't quite clear the air for me. Obama is basing his campaign on judgment (Iraq war). Where was his judgment when taking drugs in his teens, where was his judgment when dealing with Rezko and where was his judgment when listening to Rev. Wright? One of the black pundits/journalists last night said the Oprah Winfrey went to the same church and was so offended left it.

It's about judgment - which I think is an ability - he guessed once perhaps that the Iraq war was wrong, but kept voting for funding etc.

It just doesn't quite jive for me.

Another pretty speech.
